Processes and Policies
Publishing and Editorial Policies
Our journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publishing ethics and integrity. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy, originality, and significance. We follow guidelines set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and aim for transparency in all our editorial decisions.
- Peer Review Process: All submissions are initially assessed by the editorial team for suitability and adherence to journal scope. Suitable manuscripts are then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.
- Publication Ethics: We are committed to preventing plagiarism, research misconduct, data fabrication, and conflicts of interest. Any detected misconduct will lead to appropriate action, including retraction of published articles.
- Open Access Policy: "Food Communications" is an open-access journal, meaning all articles are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription barriers.
- Archiving: All published articles are archived in reputable digital repositories to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility.
